James Whittington
James… in a nutshell
I’m a problem-solver at heart. I love putting together a plan that helps someone achieve something they have dreamed about their whole life – and then seeing that plan come to fruition, first-hand.
It sounds like a cliché, but there is no average day as a financial adviser. One day I may in the office working with our team to develop a highly complex financial plan for a client; the next day I’ll be meeting with a client at their home, setting out exactly how they can achieve their lifelong dreams.
I love travelling, especially to destinations where you can find both diving and mountain trekking. I’m also a big rugby fan, albeit watching rather than playing these days! Ideally I’ll be doing that in a country pub – fortunately there are some good ones where I live in Frome, and plenty of good walks to do to work up a thirst.
Albert Einstein said that compound interest is the eighth wonder of the world… ”he who understands it, earns it, he who doesn’t pays it”. We could’ve used him on the team at Montgomery Charles…
I am actually a Guinness World Record holder – I jointly hold the record for the highest number of players in a continuous game of skittles (along with 592 other people)!
