Alice… in a nutshell

There’s a good reason that most of us have been here for quite some time. My favourite thing about my role has to be the people I work with, and we’re proud of our high staff retention levels. It’s unusual to work within a team where there is absolutely no ‘dead wood’ (unless of course it’s me… and I’m completely unaware!).

No day is ever the same. I find myself spending time on anything from planning company strategy to working out how we can better serve our clients to organising new client seminars and much else besides. It’s all enjoyable stuff because no matter which department I’m working with, I’m dealing with ‘yes-people’. 

During my twenties I worked as a ski instructor in Verbier, Switzerland. I learnt a great deal of what it meant to create a great customer experience for a client there. Skiing is all about enjoying the process; learning something new; taking appropriate risk – not unlike wealth management!

Where I live, we have to get in our rowing boats to get to the pub at high tide. The south west of England is often the inspiration for many of the images you may see in our marketing material – and with good reason.

My personal maxim is: forwards ever, backwards never! And also: always leave people better than you found them.
