Rosa Nash
Rosa… in a nutshell
No two days at Montgomery Charles are the same. Having recently joined, I’m currently meeting both existing and new clients and working alongside the other (excellent) financial planners. It’s been a fantastic opportunity to see the work that goes on behind the scenes and to build relationships with the highly skilled technical team we have here.
My favourite part of the role is building trust with clients. I enjoy the collaboration and information-sharing with colleagues that is crucial to what we do – but we all do this with the ultimate aim of helping our clients reach their goals. That might be a world cruise, seeing the benefit of gifting to family, or simply taking the stress out of managing money so that they can continue doing what they love.
I’ve always loved horses and riding, and enjoy riding racehorses at the weekends or early before work. I actually have a NVQ level 3 in Racehorse Care and Management and since the age of 16 I’ve ridden out for a multiple-time champion trainer – can you guess who?
My partner Tom and I are in the process of completely renovating a property in Wells – the UK’s smallest city – ably assisted by our dog, Pirlo. I’m currently working Monday-Thursday at Montgomery Charles which also allows me to be involved with my family’s business one day per week (assisting in the running of an industrial estate). I also enjoy playing netball and cooking for my family.
Research shows you’ll have a better sense of wellbeing if you spend time on activities and experiences, rather than purchasing material goods. Montgomery Charles’ mantra of helping clients ‘get more life out of life’ chimes with me for this reason.

In addition to the above, I am involved in organising and running technical training for other financial services professionals and attend both regional and national events. Being actively involved with the wider financial planning community allows me to share best practise with peers and embrace new technology developments.
I have also been a CII education champion, running sessions on financial education for schoolchildren and raising awareness of the financial planning profession. Just 17% of financial planners are women and I’m excited to be the first at Montgomery Charles.
I’m always looking for my next challenge and the CISI’s Certified Financial Planner qualification is something I would like to do – it’s extremely rare for financial planners to have both CII and CISI accreditations at the highest possible level.
